IC 4 SKILLS – 2018 – The Debut Industrial Hand Holding Workshop


ASAP organized Community Skill Park Partners’ Meet and Industry Connect for Skills 2018 (IC4 Skills – 2018) on 28th Nov, 2018 in Thiruvananthapuram. Community Skill Parks is an ambitious project under Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), which is being implemented with the vision of “Skills for better livelihood and stronger economy”. The website of CSP was also launched in the venue.
Both the Partner’s Meet and IC4 Skills were platforms to facilitate collaboration among the Industry Partners to build a stronger skill development ecosystem in the state . The Partners Meet was an exclusive platform for the Operating Partners, who have been selected to run the CSPs on PPP mode, to discuss the operationalization of CSPs as well as to strengthen collaboration among them for the same. It started with the introductory address of Dr. Usha Titus, Principal Secretary (Higher Education), Government of Kerala. All the Operating Partners for the fist phase CSPs who have signed agreements with ASAP have participated at the meet. Ms. Reetha S Prabha, CEO ASAP chaired the meet. Other officials from ASAP also participated. The discussions were very creative and fruitful towards achieving the objective of strengthening partnerships.
IC4 Skills started in the afternoon with the inaugural address and the launching of the website of CSP by Hon’ble Minister. All the Agreements signed with the Operating Partners were also formally exchanged between the CEO (ASAP) and the Operating Partners in the presence of Hon’ble Minister and the Principal Secretary (Higher Education). Thereafter the participating Industries introduced themselves and the Operating Partners of CSPs hosted separate round table discussions. At the end of the discussions, all the Operating Partners and other participants commented unanimously that the event was uniquely effective in building partnerships and hence the objective of IC4 Skills 2018 has been achieved. The event was successfully concluded with the Concluding Remarks of Dr. Usha Titus, Principal Secretary (Higher Education).
